Archaeologists in Egypt have found dozens of intact tombs

At 100 kilometers south of Cairo, near the Fayum oasis, archaeologists have found 57 intact tombs. Most of them are painted wooden sarcophagi with mummies.

Scientists believe that this discovery may shed new light on the beliefs of ancient Egyptians. The oldest sarcophagus with a mummy, found by archaeologists, dates from about 2750-m BC. In addition, 12 more tombs belong to the era of the 18 th dynasty, which ruled Egypt in the second millennium BC, XVI-XVIII centuries BC. Tutankhamun was the last representative of this dynasty.

Researchers were told that the mummy wrapped in cloth, decorated with religious texts from the Book of the Dead and scenes with images of ancient Egyptian deities.

Note that in the last year in El-Faiyum archaeologists have discovered 53 stone tomb, which also belong to different periods of the history of ancient Egypt.
