In southern Africa, found fragments of ancient asteroid-meteorite

An international team of geologists led by Wolfgang Mayer (Wolfgang Maier) from the Canadian University of Quebec (Universite du Quebec a Chicoutimi, UQAC) lifted from the great depths of a few fragments of a large asteroid that fell to Earth 145 million years ago in what is now South Africa and left a crater with a diameter greater 70 km. On this important finding reported in the paper discoverers Nature.
