Korean geneticist was convicted for merely unsubstantiated statement that he had cloned human

Seoul Central District Court convicted the 56? Summer genetics Suk Hwang U, for which prosecutors demanded four years in prison for fabricating research on human cloning.

As reports Associated Press, Hwang caught illegally purchasing human eggs, embezzlement and forgery in order to obtain grants.

The judges have not yet decided what prison term to determine Hwang.
