Plasma accelerators overcome line in 1 GeV

Physicists at the National Laboratory behalf of the Lawrence Berkeley (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) in collaboration with British colleagues from Oxford University have significantly enhanced the efficiency of laser-plasma acceleration of electrons. These studies approximate the creation of a new generation of powerful and at the same time compact electronic duskoriteley high energies, these particles do not disperse in high vacuum and in plasma. The experimental results will be published in the October issue of Nature Physics.
