British scientists create invisibility cloak

Science has reached the brink of magic. Material developed by physicists at the University of St Andrew of Scotland, called Metaflex. This so-called “metamaterials” made of special compound, which reflects light at very small distances.

Tremendous progress we have made with Metaflex is that, unlike previous prototypes, it is very flexible and operates at frequencies of light perceived by the human eye. Metaflex inventors say that people now have the ability to manipulate light at a different level, and that the material which they invented will prove useful in many fields, ranging from clothing and finishing medical optics.
