The Nobel committee was charged with an error

Colleagues Willard Boyle and George Smith who received the Nobel Prize in 2009, accused the Nobel committee in error, reports the Canadian newspaper The Globe And Mail. Boyle and Smith received a prize for the creation of CCD-matrix, which paved the way for digital photography and digital video.

So, who worked with Boyle and Smith, Eugene Gordon, according to AFP, said that “these two would not know CCD-matrix, even if they had stuck in her nose.” According to Gordon, they invented the concept, but the application of schemes for obtaining the image was not their idea.
