In fiction films, temporary failures occur quite frequently, but in real life, scientists have strongly doubted their existence. However, they are real. American scientists have been able to fix one of them using a method known as “temporal masking”. They managed to hold the light beam so that about 50 seconds to the minus twelfth degree for it simply ceased to exist.
